The LPI has received the Magna Cum Laude Award in Biotechnology by the Spanish Society of Radiologist in Medicine (SERAM) for the electornic communication "Obtención de la señal de sincronismo cardiaco a partir de los datos del k-espacio en IRM cine cardiaca". This communication was presented in the 34th Conference of the SERAM, which took place between May 24th and May 27th 2018 in Pamplona (Spain).
The LPI was at the conference of the Spanish Society for Medical Radiology (SERAM), held in Pamplona between May 24th and May 27th, 2018. Several contributions and invited talks were presented.
Diffusion-Weighted MRI often suffers from signal attenuation due to long TE, sensitivity to physiological motion, and dephasing due to concomitant gradients (CGs). These challenges complicate image interpretation and may introduce bias in quantitative diffusion measurements. Motion moment-nulled diffusion-weighting gradients have been proposed to compensate motion, however, they frequently result in high TE and suffer from CG effects.
The LPI has taken part in the IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI), held in Washington, D.C. between the 4th and 7th of April 2018. One poster about bias correction technique in MRI was presented.
Last April 19 2018, the LPI was present at the First Meeting for Advanced Users in Neuroimaging, organized by Philips in Madrid. Santiago Aja and Rodrigo de Luis presented the main breakthroughs of the group in diffusion analysis.
