The LPI has contributed with 3 chapters to the new book Handbook of Speckle Filtering and Tracking in Cardiovascular Ultrasound Imaging and Video, published by the IET (Institution of Enigineering and Technology), edited by Christos P. Loizou, Constantinos S. Pattichis and Jan D’ hooge. Authors from the lab have added their expertise in Speckle Tracking and filtering.

New Article on Vortical Descriptors

A novel curl-based cardiac rotation measurement but from tensorial magnitudes devised to cardiomyopathy discrimination entitled "Vortical Features for Myocardial Rotation Assessment in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy using Cardiac Tagged Magnetic Resonance" has been recently published in the international journal Medical Image Analysis.

I Jornada de Investigación en Bioingeniería y Medicina

EL LPI estuvo presente en la I Jornada de Investigación en Bioingeniería y Medicina, organizada por 4 programas de doctorado de la Escuela de Doctorado de la Universidad de Valladolid el jueves 22 de marzo de 2018. La jornada fue una oportunidad para reunir a investigadores de ciencias de la visión, investigación biomédica  ciencias de la Salud y bioingeniería.

LPI at XXXV CASEIB

The LPI has taken part on the 35th Conference of the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering (CASEIB2017), held in Bilbao between the 29th of November and the first of December. Three oral communications on the field of magnetic resonance processing were presented.

LPI member gave an invited talk at CENSIS Technology Summit in Glasgow

Dr. Pablo Casaseca (LPI-UVA) and Dr. Barry Connor (Thales UK), presented the collaborative industry-academic project “Thales AALART. Low-pixel automatic target detection and recognition” at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, where the CENSIS 4th Technology Summit took part on 02/11/2017.  Dr. Casaseca, who led this project during his academic appointment at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) said: “I am delighted of having been invited to this year’s CENSIS Tech Summit.
