The LPI has taken part on the 35th Conference of the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering (CASEIB2017), held in Bilbao between the 29th of November and the first of December. Three oral communications on the field of magnetic resonance processing were presented.

Dr. Pablo Casaseca (LPI-UVA) and Dr. Barry Connor (Thales UK), presented the collaborative industry-academic project “Thales AALART. Low-pixel automatic target detection and recognition” at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, where the CENSIS 4th Technology Summit took part on 02/11/2017.  Dr. Casaseca, who led this project during his academic appointment at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) said: “I am delighted of having been invited to this year’s CENSIS Tech Summit.

The LPI has been present at the 2017 Winter School of Brain Connectomic, held in Verona (Italy) in October. The School on Brain Connectomics aims at gathering the knowledge in the different fields that are touched by these topics providing the students a comprehensive view of this research area as well as awareness about the cutting-edge methodological, experimental and clinical aspects that are involved.

A joint formulation for the simultaneous groupwise registration and robust ADC estimation for abdominal diffusion weighted imaging has been published in the international journal Magnetic Resonance Imaging: "Joint Groupwise Registration and ADC Estimation in the Liver using a B-Value Weighted Metric".

Finally a picture of the whole LPI was taken! The complete team active this fall, including postdocs, PhD students and ragged old faculty.
